Baton Rouge Chorus aims to entertain it’s audience at every performance! We usually have a theme for the repertoire songs we include and try to find some humor in the introductions and dialog. Some of our recent shows have centered around Broadway, travel and adventure, Christmas and holidays, patriotism, and love and romance. We have also been a part of the Total Vocal acapella revue at New York’s Lincoln Center and have even sung the National Anthem at an LSU baseball game! We perform for quite a few of the retirement communities around Baton Rouge, several church groups, and have given free concerts at our main library for the public to enjoy.
We have small groups of singers who often honor requests for more intimate types of celebrations. Some of the most recent were a 100 year old war veteran’s birthday, a Christmas cookie exchange, the retirement of a Catholic nun, an office Christmas party, and a surprise marriage proposal!
No request is too large or too small!

Christmas Express: A Journey Through Time at the Planetarium

What a fabulous experience we had with our Christmas Express: A Journey Through Time concert under the stars of the Louisiana Art and Science planetarium! Our concert culminated LASM activities during their month long Coca-Cola Christmas! The Coca-Cola polar bear was even on hand to greet the guests! It was also a way to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the train depot here in Baton Rouge. We had a full house (with a standing ovation!) and the guests were able to enjoy a spread of delicious treats afterward. What a way to ring in the season!
